Just finished these sweet little spring/summer songs with fellow 'Sawnhey-singer', Tina Grace. If your familiar with my blog you'll have spotted previous posts about our recording together. Really pleased with the results and already getting a great response from everyone who's heard it. The whole EP is available for download for a mere £3.

More recording with Tina

More mixing and layering vocals and harmony ideas with Tina Grace. Third song is nearly there. Just begun re-visiting the first of the other two. Most of the vocals have been recorded in the dining room. We also began our first try at a name for the project... I won't tell you what it is yet though. Hoping to get as much nailed as we can before Tina heads off to tour with Nitin in Singapore. The race is on.

Today Tina brought her dog, who sat quietly as we worked through the vocal arrangements for a song 'Little Sadie'.

Recording with Tina Grace

A great recording session with Tina Grace yesterday. Tina is most famous for her work with critically acclaimed Indian-British musician, producer and composer, Nitin Sawney and has recorded around the globe with the likes of Valgeir Sigurdsson (Bjork) and Tim Holmes (Death In Vegas). We've been writing some simple acoustic songs together, most of which came out of a short time of writing in a garden by a railway station in Balham. The songs have come so naturally and were sung, penned and recorded onto iPhone within moments of beginning to write.
We're keeping the recording just as straight forward and simple, letting our voices compliment each other with little else to accompany other than a 'tiny' high strung guitar.
